Tried the Pasta at “Ensoleillé” and Loved It

While exploring Okayama, I found the perfect spot for lunch.
The place is called Ensoleillé (pronounced An-so-re-yu). It’s conveniently located within walking distance from both Okayama Castle and Okayama Station.
I stopped by for a pasta lunch—and here’s a quick review!
Cozy and Relaxed Atmosphere
The exterior has a simple, natural look, and once inside, you’re welcomed by a warm wooden interior that feels really inviting.
There are counter seats too, so it’s a comfortable spot even if you’re dining solo.
(I actually went alone myself, and it was a peaceful, relaxing lunch.)
Satisfying Lunch Set at a Reasonable Price
I went with the B Lunch Set for 1,850 yen, which included:
- An appetizer plate (with quiche and salad)
- Pasta of the day
- Homemade bread
- A drink (coffee or tea)
Everything was delicious—the appetizer was nicely prepared, and the pasta was fresh and chewy, just how I like it.
The sauce paired perfectly. Honestly, it felt like a great value for the price.
Easy Walk from Okayama Castle
If you’re visiting Okayama Castle or Korakuen Garden, this place is only about a 15-minute walk from the castle—perfect timing for a lunch break.
It’s also about 7 minutes on foot from Okayama Station, so it’s a great choice for those looking for tasty food near the station.
